Swans in Autumn Mist

Swans serenely gliding across a woodland lake one early evening as the sun is setting, casting its special light upon the autumn landscape. A light mist is beginning to settle in and the changing colors of autumn are reflected in the glasslike surface of the lake, all adding to the beauty of this impressionistic and tranquil scene.

I created this painting using multiple layers and glazes of smooth color on a gesso-coated masonite wood panel. It has been coated with an archival quality removable varnish. Signed on front.
